The Royal Victorian Aero Club has been training pilots for close to 100 years. We have provided pilots to some of the most prestigous airlines throughout the world: our former students are flying with Emirates, Cathay Pacific, British Airways, Qantas, Virgin, Jet, Indigo and this list goes on.
Our instructional team has a cumulative experience of in excess of 40,000 flying hours. The Royal Victorian Aero Club has an extensive fleet of aircraft and qualified staff with many years of experience and knowledge, enabling the delivery of well-structured theory and flight training.
Royal Victorian Aero Club is headquartered at Moorabbin Airport, a busy general aviation airfield some 25 kilometres south of the central business district (CBD). Moorabbin has multiple sealed runways, a control tower and associated controlled airspace and is an ideal location in which to learn to fly, whether you are looking to a fully professional career or simply to fly for enjoyment. RVAC has a range of aircraft available, from single engine trainers through to quite complex twin-engined aircraft, plus a flight simulator certified for instrument flight training.
As a Registered Training Organisation, the Royal Victorian Aero Club offers three vocational courses in Aviation:
- Certificate IV in Aviation AVI40108 (Commercial Pilot License);
- Diploma in Aviation AVI50408 (Instrument Flight Operations); and
- Diploma of Aviation AVI50510 (Flight Instructor).
All courses are in line with Civil Aviation Safety Authority qualifications.
