Field of study:
Sunraysia Institute of TAFE (SuniTAFE) is one of the largest providers of vocational education and training in north-west Victoria. A small TAFE with a large reach, the Institute was established in 1980 as a result of the dream of local educators who saw the introduction of post-secondary education to the district as being integral to the needs of the growing community and regional industry.

Campus Services and Facilities
- Mildura Campus
SuniTAFE’s Mildura Campus is located on Benetook Ave between 11th and 14th streets. You can’t miss it – it’s massive! Campus facilities include a child care and kindergarten centre, the region’s largest academic library, a bookshop with a wealth of art supplies, a training restaurant, a beauty salon and a hairdressing salon. We also have a 30 hectare farm just down the road in Cardross. We have dedicated staff to help young students, disabled students, indigenous students and International students, and have plenty of others to help everyone else in need of assistance.
- Swan Hill
The Swan Hill region is home to everything that is wonderful in life. A region rich in culture, bathed in sunshine, blessed with a bounty of delicious local produce and home to great dining, wine and shopping. SuniTAFE’s Swan Hill Campus has a large new trades wing, with a focus on heavy automotive and mechanical engineering. It also has a new nursing lab, an energy efficient demonstration house and a Deakin Learning Centre affiliated with Deakin University. The campus is next door to Barry Stegall Park.
The Robinvale region is Australia’s biggest producer of almonds. There are also substantial olive, carrot and other plantings in the area. Heavily involved in adult education and Koorie programs, SuniTAFE’s Robinvale Campus is ideally located to take advantage of extensive horticultural developments that require timely training solutions.
SuniTAFE operates a 30 hectare horticultural property at Cardross, used for both commercial purposes and student training. It has the most advanced irrigation equipment found on any training property in Australia. Crops produced include wine grapes, dried vine fruit, table grapes, citrus, stone fruit, avocados and vegetables. The property is well supplied with plant and equipment, has on-site classrooms, and other student facilities
