Field of study:
The University of Canberra focuses on preparing students to break through into their chosen profession, using work-integrated learning, state-of-the-art technology and high quality teaching and research to give graduates a competitive edge. And it works. Our graduates are among Australia's most employable, with the University consistently awarded the maximum five stars for 'getting a job' and 'positive graduate outcomes' by the Good Universities Guide. Our graduates are also among Australia's highest paid, with a four-star rating for 'graduate starting salaries'.
Our degrees are accepted and respected worldwide, preparing students for careers in areas like health, education, business, government, law, science, design and communication. Students also have the chance to gain professional hands-on experience in their chosen fields before they graduate, helping them get a head start in their careers. The University believes in providing access to quality education and offers flexible pathway programs and start dates for students. The University's academic calendar includes an intensive Winter Term that gives students greater control over their studies. Students can choose to fast-track their degree by taking on more units of study or spread their study load across three teaching periods in a year.
Our new strategic plan outlines our goal to be a world-ranked University with a network of national and international partners by 2018. Located in the nation's capital, the University attracts students from every state in Australia and over 100 countries worldwide, as part of a friendly, multicultural university community.
