Campus services and facilities
The Adelaide campus of Carnegie Mellon University Australia, was established in 2006 following the South Australian Government’s invitation to CMU to open a campus in Adelaide at the International University Precinct.
The precinct is situated in the heritage-listed Torrens Building at Victoria Square in the heart of Adelaide’s central business district. Carnegie Mellon University was the first international university to establish in Australia, and is now collated with University College London, The Australian Centre for Social Innovation and the Torrens Resilience Institute.

Degrees are granted by Carnegie Mellon University. Carnegie Mellon and all of its degree programs, including those offered in Australia, are accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education of the United States. The degree of Master of Science in Public Policy and Administration is also accredited in the United States by the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs and Administration (NASPAA).
As well as accreditation through the American system, degrees awarded at Carnegie Mellon University Australia are fully accredited by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA). Programs delivered in Australia all meet the requirements of the Australian Qualifications Framework.
