The power of a university like CQUniversity Australia is its geographic location - the power of place. CQUniversity has grown from a single campus to a multi-city university, doing some of the most challenging and rewarding work in Australian higher education and is now a leading provider of accessible higher education for Australian and international students. Each student is valued and treated equitably. This is achieved through an innovative and collaborative approach to learning and teaching, as well as through regionally-concentrated research activities and a commitment to sharing local resources. The University prides itself on being one of the nation's most inclusive universities, offering higher education to many who would not otherwise have the opportunity to experience it. As one of Australia's most engaged universities, CQUniversity is proud of its close connections with the communities it serves, and with those further afield. With plans to revolutionise its research output and to become Queensland's first dual sector university, offering both vocational education and training alongside higher education, CQUniversity stands at the forefront of innovation, energy and enthusiasm. CQUniversity recognises the traditional owners of the land on which all of its campuses are located and acknowledges that the land is spiritually significant to Indigenous communities.
CQUniversity has also established itself as a research focused university and in the 2012 Excellence in Research Australia rankings the University was rated at or above world standard in the areas of agriculture, applied mathematics, nursing, and medical and health sciences.
CQUniversity is among Australia's most engaged universities and throughout the years has formed valuable partnerships with government, community and industry groups, right across the national university footprint and overseas.
CQUniversity aims to offer diversity and flexibility, where the unique needs of each individual can be met and exceeded. As Australia’s most engaged and inclusive university, CQUniversity has a reputation for being a leading supplier of distance education, flexible learning and access education programs. It is also highly regarded for its commitment to social innovation, engaged research, student support services, international engagement, graduate outcomes and inclusive approach to higher education.
